I have installed a touch screen pioneer. I have to get you the model number it's an older one but it works very well also a backup camera and my controls on my steering wheel work I had to set those with the unit. It wasn't that hard to do. I have a 2008 Buick Lucerne cxl.

Howdy PSR1945. I can't speak to a 2011 Lucerne but I did it to my 2006 Lucerne. I'm currently on vacation, so I don't have all my particulars handy with me, but I installed a Pioneer headset with touchscreen, Apple CarPlay (wired) and Android version, Sirius XM radio antenna, backup camera (Kenwood) from Crutchfield and am loving it!! I paid for the extra wire bundle to connect all of the steering wheel functionality (Source, Vol up/down, turn signal chime, etc.). I just can't recall the exact model. It will do split screen when I'm running Apple Maps along side my Radio.

I also replaced all 6 speakers with Infinity (Rear 6x9, front door speakers and front pillar tweeters) and it sounds fantastic.

that pretty much tells me yours was not equipped with the Entertainment Package (comes with the FAR superior 9 speaker HK sound system, and factory SiriusXM receiver) like my 2006 has.
