Hello all,

Got an question about an issue I hope someone here has an answer to.

I have a 1993 Century Wagon with the 3300.

Recently when I turn on the wipers, the washer comes on and both washer and wipers run and will not stop until I shut the vehicle off.
Happened once then a few weeks later did it again, and like all things electrical it seems got worse and worse until all it does malfunction.

The switch cannot make the wipers go faster, slower, or shut off. Pump runs continuously.

I am thinking: Switch, relay, wiper motor (I doubt), wiring eh maybe. I really don't know. Don't want to go start buying parts without a good idea first.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

My first instinct would be the switch, intermittent wipers use resistors which are inside the switch, if they've gone bad you will only have one speed. you may wanna try swapping the relay with an identical one from in the fuse box (just for diagnostic purposes), and see it turns on and off, a stuck relay can keep it from shutting off, (wipers only have power when the key is in on or run position, turning the key off cuts the power to it). Anyhow, i would check the relay first as it's possible it's stuck, and a much cheaper solution than the switch.
