I need some help! I bought a Pioneer DEH-1300MP to install in my 2001 Buick Regal LS. I took out my old radio, connected the wires to the new wire harness and snapped it onto the receiving harness on my car, and nothing happened. I even tried putting my old radio back in and it won't work. No fuses are blown, and I can hit the "recall" button on the radio and the time (although wrong) will appear and after a few seconds it will black out again. The anti-theft on the radio was never turned on, so it can't be that. I'm stuck at a dead end. Does anyone have any suggestions or theories? I don't have the money to take it to a dealer or a shop, if I did, I would have done so from the beginning. Someone, please help me!!

Thanks,
Mike

Since your original radio doesn't work sure would sound like a fuse or broken wire. If you have a test light or volt meter best to start with power.

I assume you got one of those harness adapters to connect your original harness to the Pioneer?

I would start by checking by unpluging the harness from the Pioneer and check for voltage between the black wire and the red(main power). Then the black and the yellow(memory). If those are good you could have a short in the speaker wires but usually you see the face light up, just no sound.
