my horn is stuck on, i had read somewhere, i cant find the post, the back of the airbag is conductive and may short the horn, any ideas? anyone know how to remove the airbag from the steering pad?i checked the relay and currently have the fuse removed.

You kinda have to know what your doing to work around an airbag. While it can save your life in a crash it can really hurt you if it goes off while your working on it.
State your exact year/model and you might get some more help.

its a 94 buick regal gs,i have already removed the bag unit with the battery disconnected to look at it. then put it back on. from what i have read i may have to replace the bag.it had a yellow wire that plugged in and black and red wires on the sides that connected to thin plastic strips with contacts.i believe the red/black might be the horn.

Probably your only other cost-effective option is to get an airbag assembly from a junkyard but can you trust it not to have the same failure soon or worse....go off in an accident?

I've seen added horn switches but never one in a decent location......seems the center of the wheel is just the right place for a horn switch. I guess you could always add air-horns and dangle a chain switch from the headliner🙂

im just going to wire a button on the outside of the wheel i think. i dont want it in the center of my face if the bag goes off. $3 under $8 with the shipping.

i installed my horn button and it works, i figured i would add a little info on my horn sticking, the membrane switch built into the airbag was shot so i removed the airbag after disconnecting the battery for a half hour so it didnt accidently go off on me, i hear they can kill.i drilled a small hole in the back of the wheel to run wires and ran wires to a horn button on my steering wheel off to the side not over the air bag, was very cheap and easy, a new air bag costs $250 a used is $50 but who knows if the horn works, my button was a cheap and easy option.
