Just received my new diamond white cxs Friday after an unbearable 7 weeks. I read that they will include the new HiPer struts on all cxs models built in may. I did order it Apr. 27 so im not sure if they are included or not. I took a look underneath and it looked similar to the diagrams and pictures i saw on the article. I absolutely love the car.

i would like to know the same thing. I just got my car a week and a half ago. Cxs with what i thought was every option!!!!

I read in Car & Driver or Motor Trend a month or 2 back this upgrade is for 2011 models and cars built after May 2010 so odds are that our cars do not have it.

The code for HiPer Strut is GNB . Look on the build tag by the spare tire. If it is code GNA it is MacPherson strut

I checked last night, found the build tag and my CXS w/production date of 18 May shows GNB. A quick look under the front end sure looks like the photos. I rechecked the Car&Driver article and it has contradictory info, one paragraph says they would start building CXS's standard w/HiPer Strut in "late May" then a later paragraph says "after May". A couple other mag's imply it's standard for 2010 CXS's which is deceptive as earlier built cars wouldn't due to delayed installation of this feature. Here are a few links:

Just looked on the service tag and saw GNB so it confirms that i am equipped with hiper struts. Im glad but it dosent seem fair to all those who paid the same price as me a didnt get it.

Better for GM to add a feature at no cost than take away features, like they're doing with the Chevy Malibus.
