Hi guys, do you know how to change the fog light for the 2001 Regal Turbo? I don't know where to gain access to the lower fascia. Do you have to jack up the car or just turn the front tires? Thanks.

I think you can go straight up from under / behind the black air dam.
I can feel the light by reaching up. Do you plan on chaning the Fog Light bulb out for LED or HID? Manual says that they are H10 bulbs.

I wish I could help but it is night right now. If you do change out the bulb please take pictures.

Looking forward to the pictures.

I'll be doing mine in about a week or so, waiting for a part from Germany before I start modding. If the OP doesn't post his, I'll get some up.

Here are some of the pics I took with the 6000k HID Fog.

Looks good. The pictures make the fog light look more blue than the headlights. Does it look this way in person? Also where did you order your bulbs? Thanks!

Goobee I would like to see pictures of your car after you finish if you would be so kind.😀

Ahh yes, it does look more blue than the headlights, because the headlights are OEM and they are around 4500K, the fogs I got are 6000K. The higher the kelvin rating, the more blue the light appears, but it will decrease in lumen compared to the OEM 4500K, which is the brightest. I got mine on eBay, they only cost me 30 dollars.

I didn't like how the fog lights looked 'yellow' compared to the HID headlights, so I just changed them from the standard Sylvania 9145 that comes stock to Sylvania 9145ST Silverstars. Now they match eachother & are tons brighter without being 'blue' like above. I should have taken photos before/after but I didn't.

I did the same thing. I also put Silverstar Ultras in the headlights.

Are these easy to replace? I use Alldata at work and that says front wheel well lining may have to come out? Did any of you do this? Or can you just reach up from the ground?

You can just reach under/around and reach both of them without moving/removing anything. It only took me 3 minutes.

Ok. I will also post up pics of my license plate light debacle. I used a set of led plate lights and now "check plate light" msg appears everytime at startup. I am going to switch to 194 silverstars tommorow and see if the msg is still there. I think it has something to do with that they are led. Plus they look to JDM for my taste.

This is all from memory as I did it 6 or 8 weeks ago so bare with me if I'm off abit.

The fogs are not particularlly difficult, it's their location. I found that it was much easier if you jack the front end of the car up. I did the passenger side with the car on the ground with little trouble. However after getting really frustrated with the driver's side I jacked up the front end and put it on jack stands. You have to contort a bit on the driver's side and the extra room to get your head under the car and see what you are doing helps a lot. There is more "junk" you have to reach around to find the harness on the driver's side. When I tried doing the driver's side on the ground I couldn't seem to find the harness without being able to see. At one point before I jacked it up I accidently grabbed the harness for the windshield washer fluid sensor and gave it about a half turn before I realized it wasn't coming out like a bulb should. Be careful as I found out that if you spin that sensor and it isn't in the right position it will read empty. I got the bulb changed out and the car back on the ground before I started the car and realized I had to crawl back under there and straighten out the sensor.

I did not have to remove anything but the bulb.

LEDs draw far less current than filament bulbs do. The computer monitors the current draw from the circuit and when it sees the current draw lower than what it expects it thinks that a bulb burned out. The 194 silverstars should work just fine.

Thanks I was hoping they would work before I install them too. I was just hoping for something more white. They are the only bulbs that look terrible. I will post up all 3 pics when Im done.
