The 2025 Encore GX is not my daily driver, it is the Admiral's. When she got it, there was a trial period of on-star that gave her "vehicle health status" including oil life remaining percent. She has checked the manual, and looked at the settings in the vehicle - no luck.

It's probably easy, what are the steps to seeing what it thinks is the remaining oil life? Thanks.

Turn to page 228 in owners manual.

the Direct Injection/Turbo 'uses' oil, the Hyundai's are notorious. Pages 226 on are important - I'm down 1 qt in about 2500 since 2nd oil change @ 10k, checking at 11, 12K. Manual want 3k oil changes, I'll stay with 5K - but 3k needs oil, hence the interval...

I've owned 3 direct injection engines, two with turbos. Never lost a drop of oil in any of them. Currently my wife's 2016 Encore with LE2 1.4 engine (81k miles), my GMC Terrain with 2.0 (71k miles). And my old 2016 Silverado 5.3 (56k miles when traded). Oils all at about 5k miles, except the Silverado, those were 7k miles.

ya, gasoline-fueled DI engines can do that, I'll keep an eye on this one too

No oil use at all between 5k changes with my DI engine at 75k miles.
Using Mobil 1 and OEM filter only.

my fiesta st w/145K weeps outta the valve cover, but no blow by. My other car, from Korea, DI goes thru quarts. This 3 cyl can't be compared to a V8, so thats out. DI is an oil user,

OK, if you say so.

I think she tried that - we'll double-check in a few days. Thanks Mel.
I have the same 2025 Encore. There is only tire pressure and brake pad life on the maintenance display. Did you ever find the oil life & how to reset it?

Good to know, thanks for the info

Found the oil life in the app , thought that app was over unless we paid more, looks like that app is still active - no need to reset oil life, yet.

On that maintenance screen, you need to swipe left if I'm not mistaken. It's a little tricky, but it is there.
