My hubcap has an indentation nearest the tire valve. Google says I just insert a flat edge into that and pry it off. The wheel is aluminum so I assume this is too. Should I just insert and pry or might it be plastic and subject to breaking? My initial efforts were met with some resistance and I've read that some models had some kind of lock on the hub caps.20201117_161134.jpg20201117_161122.jpg

My center piece is plastic. I used a flat screwdriver with a rag around it to prevent scratches. Opened a 1/4" gap then moved the rag/screwdriver around in small sections until it was free. Wanted to be careful and took my time to reinstall. I added a torque wrench and socket to trunk for lug nuts and had to verify that I had the wrong size socket. Had 3/4" it is really 19mm.

Thanks. You are right. It is plastic and came off via your procedure without cracking in our subzero termperature.

Wrap a flat blade screwdriver with electrical tape so u don't scratch the chrome first.
