On most cars, there is some sort of dimmer control. Sometimes, it is built into the headlight switch, other times, it is a separate control.

Look on the left side of the dash for "panel lights"


If that isn't it, look for a blown fuse.

on my 92 buick there is 3 sensors on the dashboard that turn on the instrument lights when dark, on the headlight switch i turn on dimmer switch and sentenil to max to se the instrument lights. Maybe u have a faulty headlight switch
