Installing Back up Rear Camera on 2012 Verano

Is it possible to install a rear camera ONLY to the existing Intellilink system in a 2012 Buick Verano? I was told by the dealer they could install a rear camera, but at $650! I've seen camera's online and at Best Buy's for as low as $80. All I want to try and do is purchase a rear backup camera and have someone install it to the Intellilink system already in the car.

I would imagine there is wiring and labor involved to bring about that amount. Dealer labor rates are about $100/hr

Get a quote from Bestbuy - I bet they're doing camera installs now.

Asking Best Buy was exactly what I was thinking. I'm almost sure Best Buy can install the camera, but I probably will have to go to dealer for them to re-program the system.

WOW, yeah, looking at adding the Nav. to our Verano, pricey as hell but looks easy to install, pretty DIY if your handy

Has anyone had a backup camera install done on a 2012 Verano? I want to get one installed but haven’t found an installer able to do it in Louisiana. Thinking I could replace the 2012 dash with the 2013 to upgrade.
