You are brave to attempt those fixes...if you did it right then change oil and anti freeze and that engine can go a long time.I'd check for spark first. Also verify that you have run the plug wires right. Do you have fuel pressure? Did you have a shop manual for the rocker arm procedure?
I've had to do this job as well, and ultimately there is a lot of stuff to put back together right. Which reminds me, the pushrods are not all identical. Did you keep track of them?
