I don't understand why the
long white line indicates that the wipers will go faster ?? it seems logical to me that the small white line indicates a wait less line for the next pulse no!!

Long line visually indicates more rain thus more frequent wipe cycle. Short line, less rain, less wiper cycles. Or look at like turn knob up (lines get longer) it is more wipes, turn knob down (lines get shorter) for less wipes.

Did you look at the picture?
Down the lines are longer.
Yes I looked at the picture. Did you? When you turn the knob down (toward driver) the shorter lines line up with the arrow. Turn up (away) the longer lines align with arrow. It's been kicked around here before. The Stupidest Little Complaint

The long white line indicates the interval between wipes will be longer, nothing to do with speed, only time
I had a car that was the opposite, small line mean short time between each pulse and long line was more time between each line and I think that it the way it should be.

Wasn't there a movie about intermittent wipers and the engineer who came up with it got ripped off by Ford?

My 95 Lesaber intermittent wiper stalk lines have worn off so I just use The Force to figure out what the setting is.

While driving, there’s no time to actually look at the stalk, so yes, using the force is how I do it too.

Proposed Campbells chunky soup commercial… Luke Skywalker is sitting at the table in the Millenium Falcon, looks at his bowl of soup, and Obi Wan‘s dream voice cuts in: “Use the Fork, Luke”

I have seen a Honda's wiper switch stalk. The water droplet symbols make way more sense.

On the older Cadillac's I had it was very simple, but having multiple rental cars for business travel it was simply rotate knob until speed was what I required. No need to look at owners manual if it was even in the rental or the stalk lines, the only thing to know was what side the gas went in.

This is a bit off topic but for which side of the car gas goes in look at the gas gauge. Most newish cars have an arrow on the gas guage pointing to the side of the car where the filler is.

LOL, sorry but they didn't do that on many makes and models during my car rentals that goes back to the beginning of the 80's.

What side is the gas filler on this vehicle?

Sat looking at my first intermittent wiper stalk for hours as it had no information on it, my God what if I turned it to fast or to slow. What sadistic GM engineer would put something in a vehicle without full detailed instructions marked on the device! I gathered up my courage and set it in the middle and was amazed that the end of the world didn't happen and the wiper began to wipe the windshield intermittently.

I drove off to work and while cleaning the nuclear storage tanks felt safe in my new found knowledge of this highly technical device known as the intermittent wiper.

If the intermittent wiper is a challenge time to maybe take away the keys and get the Uber app lined up.
