We just purchased a 2001 Park Avenue without heated seats. However, I have a 1999 Park Avenue parts car which has the heated seat option with the same color seats.

What would have to be switched over in addition to the seats to make this work in my 2001?

Thanks!

Couldn't ask an easy question. What i know...you'll need the switch, heated seat module for both left and right sides, at least two separate fused power supplies (only see 2 fuses in the wire diagram, but it appears the bcm also supplies voltage to part of the setup). What I'm not sure...the bcm, not sure if you could swap the bcm from the 99 to the 01, depending on other options. Also not sure if you did wire the modules to the 01 bcm that the bcm would have the proper internal setup, or firmware to operate the seats without needing to be programmed or if you would have to order a bcm with the function already enabled. Essentially, not sure if the bcm is setup for only the options that came with the car, or if they exist and only need to be programmed to function. I'm sure there would also be a way to install them, and wire them to work as desired and still be able to hide the wiring.

As a Christmas gift for my wife I purchased an Ebay seat heater set. I installed them pretty easily. Taking apart the seats was a little intimidating but I took my time and it all worked out very well. They operate VERY well and she loves them. Installed them on a 2011 Chevy Malibu. The only issue I had was that I could not install them on the lower portion of the passenger seat. The entire seat bottom is a sensor to turn the airbags off. I did not want to put that much heat into the sensor for fear of setting the bag off. So I ended up using both pads for the passenger side on the back of the seat. Still very warming and gets your lower back perfectly!!
