Hi all! Had my TourX for a month now and I love it, even despite the little leak incident that is now solved (Wet rear passenger carpet) thanks to all who tried to help!
Got another one. Noticed that my tail light was out, specifically the led portion on the top. Brakes, signals all work.
Also noticed that it's actually the whole left side: "eyebrow", side marker, and tail. The quarter panel mounted light on that side had water in it when I bought it, so I pulled it to dry it out. I noticed that while it was out, the front and side parking lights started working. I'm guessing something about the led module in the rear light was affected by moisture and is now taking down the circuit for the left side park lights.
I'm sure the LEDs are not user serviceable in the traditional sense, but is there any hope to open the housing and fix it? Should I just focus on finding a replacement? New units seem to go for anywhere from $250 to $500. Used can be a bit cheaper, but maybe just buying another problem.
Anyone have experience here?
Thanks!
