Recently I got a "Liftgate Open" warning while driving, and the cargo compartment light came on. It went off and stayed off for a while, then started to cycle (which drove the locks to cycle as well). It was late, I parked the car and thought I would deal with it in the morning. Well it obviously continued and drained the battery. I am looking through the wiring and I think it shows that the "liftgate ajar sw" is in the latch assembly (wiring diagram figure 66, page 8,331 of service manual). But when I search on line for a switch part number, I get that the pinch sensors on the body (39111162) are also labeled as "ajar sensor" So which is it, is the ajar signal coming from the latch or the pinch sensor? Which thing needs to be replace?
