Lights inside 2004 Lesabre climate control are out

Does anyone know if the lights inside the climate control panel can be replaced. The panel works fine but it started with just the two backlights on the right. It was this way for about two years. Now they are all dark.

Does any one have a link to show how to take the dash panels off to access the climat control panel. I would like to pull it out without breaking any tabs on the dash panels.

Btw, it seems odd all the lights on the left side went out together, are they in series, like Christmas tree lights.

The '04 (for sure, and perhaps some other years) had a batch of short life lamps installed.
The bulbs were not designed to be user or service center replaceable - but they can be replaced.
You can replace them using a #8111 lamp, available form bulbtown.com and other suppliers.

Several past threads here on the process. Search (e.g., on 8111) for soem threads with more information.
The process involves some fine printed circuit board soldering and disassembly of the dash and some components to get to the circuit boards. (Some electronic technician skills are needed.)
It can involved dash and HVAC controls, radio, gauge cluster, switches, steering wheel switches.
There is a recent thread on removing the dash (to get to the gauge cluster). That may help.
The FSM provides setails step-by-step, as do on-line subscription services such as www.alldatadiy.com.

Thank you I will try to put the bulbs in. I have years of experience with soldering, this will not be an issue. I was a little concenerned the whole bank on the left went out at the same time. This made me think it may not be the bulbs.

If they went out at the exact same time it could be something else, perhaps an issue with the circuit board. The only way to tell is to check it out.
