Loose 2 pin in my engine bay

I recently acquired this 98 regal that had an engine replaced 60k ago. It’s been running good but I have this loose connector under the hood and I cannot figure out where it’s supposed to go. It’s got one black and one purple wire. The top(wire side) is red and the pin side has a blue rubber gasket/dust shield). The wire is located need the driver side strut tower and comes up right by the Cruise control module. Any help is greatly appreciated.
