Lost a trunk letter

I lost the "K" from the "Buick" on the rear trunk. Can anyone recommend a good place to get replacement letters that aren't cheap junk.

Try ebay. I doubt you will find a single letter. Most likely sold as a set. Buick dealer may sell the letter K but will be more then "BUICK" from ebay.

you can still get the nameplate new from your local GM dealer (GM Part 15221172) but its expensive at $142. GMPartsDirect has it for $95 if you're willing to wait for shipping.

Find the car at a "self-serve" salvage yard. The letters are easy to take off using a screwdriver to pry them. Now I am not sure how to clean the old adhesive and what new adhesive to use to stick the missing letters to the trunk.

I actually have the exact same problem. I am missing the K and the X from CX. I have the used replacement letters already. I just need to stick them back on. I paid $5 for all the letters off the trunk of a Buick Lucerne.

I bought it at a Kenny U-Pull in Canada. A salvage yard where you go get parts from cars yourself. The letters are identical since I got them from another Buick Lucerne.

Heat, blow dryer or heat gun, to loosen the glue and peel off or use fishing line behind the sticker in a saw like motion.
