Got an incredibly loud white noise blast (like the sound between channels on an old TV) on my '24 Envision. The noise repeated when I got that, rather than the usual chime, when someone drove up beside me. Thoughts?

I am not sure what an "loud white noise blast" would sound like?? The car should be under warranty, unless you have exceeded the mileage limit of the warranty, which would be difficult to do in 1-yr. I would take the car back to the dealer you bought it from & explain/demonstrate the noise you here. Good Luck!

Agree with using the warranty but I'm curious, does the radio audio sound ok? If so, maybe try adjusting the chime volume (look in your owners manual, its usually done by pressing a button on the radio with the radio off). The thought behind this is the chime (for many years) is created through a speaker from the drivers door radio channel.

Unfortunately, adjusting the volume did nothing. It was a full-blast like the volume adjustment ability was not even there. (Really scary!)

Like previously mentioned, it is time to go to the dealer & demand a fix!

My old TV's never made "an incredibly loud white noise blast (like the sound between channels on an old TV), so I have no idea what that would sound like??? My first TV was in 1953!
