i hear the LS1 throttle body goes right onto the 3.8, i have heard of throttle body swaps from some engines, for example with the 3.1 you can swap the 52MM 3100 throttle body with the 56MM 3400 throttle body and i would say it made a power increase of at least 5-10HP, just wondering if its possible, beacuse i have worked on cars with LS1 engines and know they MAF sensor is separate from the throttle body, VS the Buick's 3.8 which the MAF sensor is integrated into the throttle body.

There are plenty of TB swaps out there but in my opinion they aren't power gains 'directly'. In other words, without doing something else to the powertrain it's unlikely that the TB would be any sort of bottleneck. TB swaps come into play more when you've changed the engines ability to flow more air like cam profiles or free-flowing exhaust. Only then would a larger TB make any real change.
You chould try www.3800pro.com and www.regalgs.com to see what people are having success with. Some of the Grand Prix forums have good info as well.
