GM customer service says 2017 buick envision does not ramp up max defrost fan speed, even though owners manual states it should ?

Did you ask them to read the owners manual?

Yes customer service says my vehicle doesn't have this function this all started after dealer replaced rear evap case blower motor climate control panel and climate control module

Took to another GM Dealer for diagnostic they say has max defrost but fan speed does not increase as owners manual says he will call local GM field engineer that was already involved in previous repair

No GM service engineer said its a programing issue, awaiting responce from GM. I personally think the dealer that replaced the ac evap case screwed up the wiring.

GM engineer put in for software solution as condition is a safety hazard haven't heard anything yet

No, a month ago my collision alert became significantly louder, as did the beeping when I first get in before I put on my seatbelt. It doesn’t consistently respond to the Chime Volume either. And yesterday I noticed the max defrost button doesn’t turn up the fans. So idk what’s going on.

I also just noticed the Maximum Startup Volume isn’t working anymore…

The resistor is under the dash near the heater, sounds like all electrical problems!

False alarm on the startup volume, I just didn’t wait long enough for the car/radio to completely turn off, I guess.

I did all the resets in the radio and the Max Defrost is still only going to about half-speed and the chimes when I first start the car are still louder than the Chime Volume setting. GAH. So strange.

@BuickGirlFromMars I see you post a lot of good stuff here, have any advice for me?
