Maybe I would really rather have a Buick

My dad was an Oldsmobile man who naturally transitioned to Buick after he outlived the Oldsmobile marque.

I recently had to sell my pickup because it was getting too long in the tooth (i.e. transmission wouldn't shift beyond second), and my dad decided he only needs a sub-compact Chevy now that he and my mother moved to a much smaller town than San Jose where I grew up. So I inherited his 2005 Rendezvous.

I had been sweating the fact that I wasn't sure how I could get plywood home from the lumber yard/big box until I noticed those little steps on either side of the rear port....

I was very please to find out that MY Buick had no problem with eight sheets of plywood and a half a dozen pieces of 12' stock.

Suddenly, I don't miss my old pick up anymore, and I think I really would rather have a Buick.

back in the day, my dad had a 62 electra 225, and later a 66 beautiful cruiser, followed by a 70 cutlass with a rocket 350, awesome engine. especially with the air cleaner lid flipped upside down was my first mod ever lol, next up was a 75 Century, so natural for me to still have a buick around and to stick with GM through it all

Buick, at time of that ad slogan put out some nice models, Riviera, 225, skylark, wildcat, GS.
