2011 Buick Regal CXL Turbo exhibiting acceleration issues. Does not appear to be mechanical.
Meticulously maintained from day 1 and currently @ 124,135
However...@ 123,500 the vehicle, when accelerating (hard on the pedal) started to shudder and shake.
*If I stay hard on the pedal (anything above 2500 to 3000 RPMs) the “stabilitrack” warning appears and the “check engine” light follows. The message on the screen also states, “reduced power.” The check engine light will stay on and power reduced until I turn off the ignition and restart the vehicle. Once restarted, even immediately, the check engine lights and warnings disappear.
*If I go easy on the pedal the car accelerates through all 6 gears easily with NO issues and does not exhibit any of the previous issues.
I’m thinking this has to be an electrical control issue vs a mechanical issue.
Any ideas?
