an odd situation happened to me, fuses good, but no power to radio. I went to get tires turned and after my (aftermarket)radio stopped. I think a ground may have went bad. i've change out the radio, checked fuses.. please get back to me asap, thanks.

What year model?

What were you doing when the power stopped.

are there any other things without power?

Nothing. After work it was working fine on the way to the tire shop. after getting my tires turned it failed to get any power what so ever. i believe its something very simple but still cant seem to find the problem. 😕

well, start from the radio with a multimeter, check for voltage. if no voltage. check your ground with the meter. to do that, set it to resistance. touch one pin to a bare metal part of the car. and the other to the ground wire. you should read no more than about 1 to 2 ohms at the most. if the meter shows nothig then there is no connection and the ground is at fault.

basically since you're saying the fuses are good. you need to work back to the fuse panel from the radio. checking all the things between it and there. it doesn't seem likely that it's a ground seeing as everything else works.

Since this is an aftermarket radio it could have an additional barrel fuse on the line. Check that. You all remember those! The fuse is about 3/4 to an inch long glass tube and metal caps. It is mounted in a plastic spring loaded contraption.
