need help removing steering column trim panels 2006 2006 rendezvous

I am trying to replace the ignition switch and having trouble removing the top trim panel. Have removed the lower panel with no problem. The question is, does the cover on the ignition cylinder just pry off or is there a different method ?

The rubberized key slot cover needs to be popped off. to get the upper cover off.

But I believe you can replace it without removing the upper cover.
