My dad worked at a Buick dealer for many years. Probably too many years (dealerships...). Whatever. This car came in from a salesman demo and my grandpa picked it up. Everything documented from the car being new, maintenance etc. minus the damn window sticker. 98 Buick Park Avenue, I think my grandpa paid $12.5 for it. Well now through the process of "we don't want it" I've become the proud owner of it. For the record, I love it. "We don't want it", has been an amazing opportunity to own an honestly beautiful car. The portholes and NOT factory. They were ordered through GM and are non functional adhesive

A very nice looking Park Avenue! I am happy for you and hope you enjoy your vehicle for many years.

That was the best looking wheel design that they ever put onto these cars. I think they stopped after about 1999 or 2000. Unfortunately, the center cap design is not great for longevity. Any time you get new tires, or anything where the wheels need to be removed, always take those caps off yourself--don't let the teenager at Les Schwab do it. I always do it and make sure to look for hairline cracks. Heavy-duty epoxy works quite well.

as you can tell my caps didnt last long. All 4 broke taking off the first time. lol. mostly the plastic where the ring attached.

They're expensive for new caps with the shields in them
I didnt even have a matching set. I had 2 or 3 chrome OEM ones then some colored tri-shields that were not chrome which I think were a couple years later caps lol... I dont like wheels that need caps. although my replacement wheels have them they were just cheap and nice looking, not ideal (plastic and torx screw lol)

Congratulations on your car. Looks great and knowing its history is huge.

What a beauty! Congrats! Mine has the portholes too and I was bummed to see that they’re just for looks
