Just changed the fuel pump on Friday. Car started and ran, the voltage than was around 12.4 so I got a used alternator put it on. Now I have a no crank no start. Any ideas of what might of happened? I am currently trying the relearn procedure since the battery was unhooked. It seems desperate since it was disconnected longer when I did the fuel pump.

Did you test after the used alternator was installed?
Sounds like a dead battery, what is the battery voltage?

Battery voltage is 12.6, the no crank no click no start happened after I changed the alternator. All fuses under the hood are good all relays tested good with a 9 volt battery. The relearn procedure didn't correct the problem. I threw in the old alternator still nothing. Doesn't click or crank in Neutral either.

Before you replaced the fuel pump, did you check fuel pressure to verify LOW fuel pressure? How old is the battery & does it have top post & side post? If so, where are the battery cables connected to & tested for voltage? Has the battery been load tested? When the engine once started, what were you showing for battery voltage @ where the battery terminals are connected?

I didn't pressure test the fuel pump. I disconnected the fuel lines and cranked the engine got no fuel. Battery is about a month old side terminals. Test for voltage at the battery and alternator. After the fuel pump I was getting 12.4 @ the battery and alternator, which is why I switched the alternator originally.

Was the 12.4 with the engine running? A fully charged battery is 12.75.

It was with the car running. Since the car ran and the alternator wasn't working 12.4 v while running. I would assume a fully charged battery that ran for 10 or 15 mins wouldn't be fully charged. I've since charged the battery its @ 12.71 now.

Yes it was 12.4 running which is why I switched the alternator out. I've since charged the battery to 12.74. Car still is no click, crank, start.

I don't see any mention so far that you had the battery load tested or checked the battery cables for corrosion, cleaned & tight?? "We need the facts, nothing but the facts" if you want to continue this mystery thread!
