Oil leak

I have oil pooled all across the top of the engine between the plenium intake and valve cover.

Looks like coolant to me. Replace the upper intake manifold and gasket with the dorman kit and I would also replace the lower intake manifold gaskets with the fel pro ms 98014 gaskets. While your doing this, replace the valve cover gaskets also.

I have to bring it to a shop unfortunately and I'm not mechanically inclined and I'm disabled with a really bad back. I'll tell the mechanic to use the aluminum replacement gaskets and not the plastic garbage . Thank you for your help.

Forgot to tell you, I don't use DexCool coolant. I use the prestone yellow. Just had a coolant flush a few months ago so it's still bright and transparent. I checked both my coolant and oil and the oil is low. I touched it with my finger and it smells like oil. Either way, I will have the mechanic put an aluminum gasket for the upper and lower intakes. Thank you

Either way, it is most likely coming from the manifolds. Probably the upper since that where it tends to pool up when its the upper. Have your mechanic check the lower also to make sure its not leaking.

You think it's okay to drive 6 miles to my shop ? Its operating normally . Just didn't know if I'm at rish of it turning into the famous gm3800 internal milkshake 😬 as of now my oil is transparent. Thank you

I can't commit myself to say if it will be ok or not to drive there, but I would make sure the oil and coolant level are OK first before you make the drive.

As long as you don't have "milkshake" on the inside of your oil cap you should be fine driving the 6 miles to the shop.

looks like coolant that mixes with dirt thats on top of the intake with possible oil by the filler opening could be from a poorly sealing cap, could be from PCV overpressurizing, could be leaky valve cover gaskets and air.

best thing to do is to clean the area nicely and mop up the liquid, then drive it a bit, and see what it is. if coolant, intake

As long as you don't have "milkshake" on the inside of your oil cap you should be fine driving the 6 miles to the shop.

I gave it some thought and since I'm paying for a triple A Plus roadside service I'm going to have them take it. This will save me from having to take an Uber back home 😉
