I have a 99 Park Avenue with 250K miles. I am the original owner. I replaced the instrument cluster about a year ago. A few days ago, the oil pressure read-out started going crazy. The warning will chime, and the oil pressure light will come on, briefly, and then cut off. When I view the gauges for oil pressure it is cycling wildly from 0 psi up to 129 psi and back, over and over. Occassionally, it will settle, usually on 0 or 129, but mostly it just keeps cycling from 0 to 129, very rapidly. There seems to be no performance issues. My guess is that it is a sending unit. Thoughts? Concerns? Thanks!

Mine was fixed on 129 when I posted awhile back. The aftermarket sending unit ( somewhere near $35 ) fixed it. Mine was located just above the oil filter on a '99 BPAU and required some small hands to finesse the threaded unit off, replace and reconnect the wire.
