Spec sheet says "1SE" "Option Package 5." Any sages know what this might mean or entail?

Thank you all!

there are "5" models of lesabre, according to trim/packages. Well, 6 if you count the 2004 and 2005 celebration editions.

custom 1se is the 1sa package plus all these additional features(There are more yet, but this is just a list of ssome)

The 1se package is prob the majority of the lesabres and actually is the reason so many americans were able to have a decently equipped car for a affordable price point

Thank you! I appreciate your DEPTH and VOLUME of knowledge!

This does seem to be somewhat of a typical "Custom" version of the 2005 LeSabre. However, it does have what I'm guessing are a couple of add ons. This car has the 7 spoke factory 16" chrome wheels seen on a lot of Park Avenue Ultra, Special Editions rather than versions of the 15" wheel. This car also has leather seats and I'm guessing the 140amp alternator might be an upgrade over lower amp versions.

Thanks again for your time and wisdom. You are consistently helpful to me and so many others and that is genuinely appreciated.

The 2004 and 2005 cars had 140 amp alternators sourced from denso with compatible plugin regulators for Delphi models they temporarily displaced as Delhi. Couldn’t produce units because bankruptcy in 2004

You are from Mars as your knowledge is OUT OF THIS WORLD! Massive respect!

A while ago, you responded to a post regarding transmission fluid change. You suggested replacing the W shaped "clips" at the four ends of the transmission cooler lines (at transmission and at radiator). I ordered the GM cooler lines BUT on your suggestion to replace the "O-rings" presumably inside of the cooler line connectors, I simply cannot find any data relative to where to source those O rings. In the past (2020) a post was made by someone who used Spectra O rings and felt them to be poorly fitting. I don't want that drama. I'd just like to have either a bag of new O-rings for the insides of all those connectors, or, new OEM connectors and be done with it.

Any intel on the OEM O-rings (part numbers) you suggest are one time use, or, the OEM connectors (P/N's) for their 2005 LeSabre Custom?

Thanks in advance. Might as well as you since you are clearly the font-o-knowledge on all things "Buick." Appreciate it.

the o rings would be attained from a standard o ring set which you would find a compatible material then size. but those arent one time use, but thgey can leak. they can be inspected to be sure clean and in good shape. use a light and a pic to dig out. The spring clips are one time use, they can fail on their own. thats why those plastic collars retain around them to keep them from failing so blatantly. but they themselves get old and may slip or failed to be reinstalled. basically, imagine using a TTY suspension bolt over on something that would cause critical failure if failed

Ok. Thanks again for your wisdom and insights. I have ordered 4 of those "collars" as a preventative measure and will install with the new OEM cooler hoses coming soon. I have not actually inspected the O-rings in the cooler line fittings to see if they are in fact leaking, but it's my nature to just change them out with OEM if I can and when I'm in there. If sourced successfully, I will "pick" them out and replace.

Thanks again for your time and I hope you have a fantastic weekend!

Off to go look at the LeSabre parked in a different city. New tires for it arrive today.

if your old lines only leak at the rubber to metal transitions, keep them. on your bench you can repair them with minimal hand tools and create (in my opinion) superior lines which would be great to keep on the shelf if yours leak again!

On the 2000 Buick LeSabre Limited, option package 5 was the Prestige Option Package, an upgrade that added several premium convenience features. It built on the Limited's existing high-end equipment by adding the following:
  • Audio upgrades: Included an AM/FM stereo with a CD player and cassette player, with audio controls mounted on the steering wheel.
  • Heated leather seats: Added leather trim and heating to the front seats.
  • Driver memory: Introduced Buick's "Personal Choice" memory settings, which could be programmed via the key fob. This allowed two different drivers to store their preferred seating and exterior mirror positions.
  • Rain-sensing wipers: Equipped the windshield wipers with a sensor that would automatically activate and adjust their speed based on the amount of moisture on the glass.
  • Universal garage door opener: Provided a programmable remote system integrated into the vehicle.

This package combined with other standard Limited features—such as dual-zone automatic climate control, a heads-up display, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror—to create the most luxurious version of the car.
