Ok, so I managed to bend the trap door on the dash for the passenger side air bag while removing the dash fascia trim to fix the missing resistor problem with the mileage/PRNTL on the instrument cluster.

One corner is bent upward, I need to remove or open the trap door so I can get the whole thing back aligned etc. Not seen any posts on here about it, Googled and didn't find much on line either.

Any guidance on how to get this taken apart and fixed would be appreciated.

Do you have any pictures of this? Can you just take the front dash piece off again and align it?

I have the same problem. Since the only response to this thread was a request for pics, I've included some.

The first pic shows the airbag cover.

The second is another view of the cover with it raised a little and the front of the dash removed. As far as I can tell, there's nothing on the dash for the cover to latch onto.

The third pic is a closer view. The cover goes over the black plastic part on the bottom, not behind it.

I hope someone can help with this. TIA.
