. My car : Buick Regal LS 3.8 6v year 2000. I think I have an electrical problem. I start the car, turn on headlights, low beam, and position lights and light from dashboard , showing speed lines and number of miles not light up.. Headlights light up, both phases. What is it ? Can you help me? Must be a contact something, right? Yerstarday everything was ok, today, BANG, the issue.

thank you

So are you saying that the odometer display no longer lights up? If that's the case, the resistors on the instrument cluster control board went bad. It's a very common problem. Mine went bad in my 99 Regal awhile back and I followed this DIY fix it YouTube video and all is good as new:

Let me know if I misunderstood your problem.

today i m gona go at Radioshack and i m gona buy the tools for the odometer. But what do i do with the other problem? Position lights no longer light up, although lights are lit. There is no light in the dash panel . At night, in my car, is no light, except the lamp from the mirror.

When you say there are no lights in the dash panel, are you saying that the instrument gauges are not lighting up? If so, there may be a completely different problem in your electrical system. The resistor fix I talked about is for when everything works except for the odometer and driver info display (if applicable). So if you have other additional issues with your instrument cluster, it's quite possibly something else.

Do your gauges still work?

And by position lights, do you mean the amber running lights on the inner sides of your headlamp assemblies? If so, did they both stop functioning at the same time?

Did you check your fuses?
