1998 Park Avenue
Recently obtained a 1998 Park Avenue (not the Ultra) with just over 131k. Car is great, but recently noticed on medium acceleration from a stop that there is some shudder in the drive train. It seems to be more repeatable as the car takes on more weight. If I keep the throttle light or go heavier I do not get a shudder. Even when going WOT and having it downshift to first it does not shudder. Other than this the car operates completely normal and will still lock up the converter in all other aspects. No DTCs are being thrown. I do have access to a full Tech2 scanner.

Trans fluid color is still a nice red. No browning. It does not smell like new fluid out of the bottle, but I assume this is just due to heat cycling. I am thinking it is just the solenoid, but without any check engine codes I am not sure if this is the case. Hoping to see if anyone else had an issue like this and could shed some light.

if you make low speed right and left turns any noise or shudder, thinking CV joint.

I do not believe it to be CV joint related. The car will still shudder when turning when applying medium throttle. I have also found that if I start at light throttle and either ease into it or WOT after the car has started moving the shudder does not happen. It almost feels like the TCC clutch is engaging and disengaging until finally engaging and staying engaged after a few shudders.

This problem can also be caused from sporadic misfire, either by weak coil's, wires, plugs or ICM. When was the last time any of those were changed?
