Hello all,

I just purchased a 2014 Buick Verano and was disappointment it doesnt have the built in navigation. Is there a way to add this somehow? Can any recommend a source? It does have the Intellink/Infotainment touch screen.

Thanks

Various NAV topics have came up before...

If you are wanting the Buick(GM) OEM Navigation Option, then I think you will need to go through a Buick Dealership to see if NAV can be added.
I don't recall seeing any postings where someone has tried to add GM/OEM NAV to their Intellink/Infotainment system.
It may be possible.....

Personally, I would not get all excited about GM's Navigation.
As an option it's already WAY OVERPRICED.
And the map updates are very rarely offered and they are NOT FREE ($160).

For instance, the Verano has only had one map update offered for it's entire run and that was not until 2017.
The update is still available:

You can get a TomTom, with free lifetime map and live traffic updates for $120 - $140 dollars.
To get live traffic updates with the GM NAV you have to be an OnStar subscriber.

Some have also inquired as to whether Apple CarPlay or Android Auto can be interfaced with the Verano.
Short answer... No.

There is a company that specializes in these kind of retrofits. gm-navigation.com can get you started. Or if you are brave you can piece it together on ebay for cheaper and get Chris at White Auto and Media to program it for you.

You responded to a four-year-old thread. Not every screen is castable, especially one that's almost 10 years old.

Stand corrected That doesnt work
