Last summer I had almost the same problem but the remote did work the door lock on the drivers side and there was power to the drivers window and side view mirror. Traced it to the communication wires under the drivers seat and made the fix. plenty of threads on this repair on the Lesabre forum.
This time, all of the windows, door locks and mirrors were not working. The trunk release button, on the door didn't work either. I also notices that the radio would stay on when the door was opened and the remote did not activate anything except the trunk release.
I checked the communication wire fix (under the driver's seat) it was still good. Checked continuity of communication wire
from under the seat to the Driver Door Control Module (DDCM) (you have to pull the door panel off) it was good. Checked for power (orange wire) ground (black) at the DDCM--also good. Pulled the DDCM out of my wifes 2004 Limited and ALL SYSTEMS WERE A GO!!
Just to answer a few questions I've seen in other threads. I pulled all 4 door control modules out of a 2004 Bonneville
and the Drivers Door Control Module worked like a charm even though the part number was different (Mines a 2000 custom).
Just make sure it is from a 2000-2005 C/H car. You do not have to take your car in to a dealer to have the door module
programed! The junk yard I got the modules from is a pull your own part type. $8/module.
Thank you Lesabre Forum!! You've helped many times--I hope this thread helps others!!!
