Hello- If anyone has a moment to answer a question, I'd sure appreciate the help.

Question on a 3.6 2015 lacrosse. My son was driving last night and had to pull over as everything was going haywire. Went to meet him and saw that the drive belt was off and a rag was caught up in the works. Had it towed home and went in to install a new belt, and it seems I’m missing a pulley, I think the power steering pulley (engine diagram attached)? Or wondering if I’m going nuts?

My son didnt mention any steering issue, but I am clearly missing a pulley. Is this a known issue, or just a weird one off? or do I have a strange engine varient that doesn't have a pump/pulley here?

The belt part number right on the belt (attached), shows a 7 pulley assembly. And the belt I bought has way too much play, as if I'm missing a pulley. It just seems so strange that one would pop off.

Here's a video link of my engine. Thanks in advance for your help!

I have FWD. And it doesnt seem that there's any spot for another pulley on my block. But I can't find any other 3.6L drawing that shows a pattern except for the one I posted, and the GM part number on the failed belt is the 12636137 which is what i posted above and matches the 7 pulley pattern. I'm so confused right now.

Did you look at page 12-4 of the owners manual?
If you don't have it download from Buick.com

Thanks Mels. I don't have the manual anymore, took me awhile to find an online version for the FWD. I see now there is a difference between mine and the first drawing I had. Thank you so much for taking the time to help. You were the first and only individual to tell me there is an AWD and a FWD 3.6 Lacrosse, and the differences between the two- even the Buick Mechanic 'expert' I talked to online through JustAnswer didnt indicate that, and told me I had lost the steering pump pulley. Thanks for bringing me back to sanity. You rock man!

Pulley back on and car is on the road again.

One advantage of dealer parts is they SHOULD use the car's VIN which helps narrow down the correct part.
