Power steering random lockup

My 2016 Regal T2 has had a random power steering lockup on a few occasions now. I looked up recalls and there was a problem with 2016 Regal and some were recalled for the same issue. Mine was not included in that recall but it is showing the exact same symptoms.
I called the dealer and they couldn't find anything on it either.
Has anyone had to fix this problem on their own and if so, what was involved?

So, I did the dealer recommended repair by cleaning the ground for the electronic steering and it seems to have fixed my problem.
It didn't look too bad, but the steering hasn't acted up since. Fingers crossed.
