Questions about HUD and speedometer

I recently bought a used 2004 Park Avenue. I first had to unlock the radio. I got that done, but the HUD panel display on the dash does not show anything, and I cannot see my speed, or anything else that the manual says is supposed to be displayed there. Any help would be appreciated

There is a button that turns on and off the HUD. This button is located on the map lights.

Are you sure the car has HUD? The manual tells all options and features offered that year, it is not proof your car has it only that it was offered

The only buttons on the overhead light control only control the sunroof and garage door opener (which I do not have use for). also, the only speedometer dial goes from zero up but I cannot tell how fast I am going. It is not like a regular dial. I'm frustrated by not being able to figure out how to turn on the HUD dash display.

I am thinking your car does not have HUD. In the left hand corner of the dash there should be a square or rectangle or some kinda panel in that area. That is the HUD unit

There is a panel below the radio, but nothing shows up on it. How can I tell my speed?😕

Thats not where the HUD is located. The Hud is located near the windshield next to the drivers side

[/SIZEOK OK, I am now convinced that I do not have the hud option. However, I still have questions. The speedometer (0 t0 140) does not seem to register true speed. Also, where the temperature is supposed to display, mine shows nothing. Thanks for help. 🙂

I am now not able to start the car, even though I was able to several times while working on the previous situations. 😕
