- 2002 Century Custom
Greetings.
I have a 2002 Century Custom with the standard AM/FM/cassette/no Automatic Tone Control/non-Theftlock stereo with the blue connector and one black plastic spike in the back as pictured:

I also have an AM/FM/cassette/CD/Automatic Tone Control/Theftlock stereo from a 2000 LeSabre. From the front and dimensionally, this unit appears to be physically identical to the premium stereo that was available for the 2002 Century. The glaring exception is the back, which has a totally different gender white connector and two black plastic spikes in totally different locations as shown:

Connection-wise, I'm thinking all I need is a "white to blue" adapter so I can plug it into the Century's wiring harness. So far, I've found no single adapter to do that, but I figured I could by a white adapter for a LeSabre and a blue adapter for a Century and connect the wires together to make my own:

Comments? Has anyone ever done anything like this before? Clearly, I would need to remove the 2 black plastic spikes, and I'm likely going to have Theftlock activation issues, but do you think it's possible? Or should I even try?
Thanks.
