Rattle in dash!!!

Anyone have a Buick Encore 2014 and have a super annoying rattle in the dashboard? Sounds like it's coming from the passengers side door or glove compartment. It's driving me crazy and a $26,000 car should not have a plastic sounding rattle!

Can you have a passenger listen and help narrow down the location?
And perhaps find the offending item?

I have one and no rattles. Squeaky brakes when wet, but no rattles.

No noise from passenger door. However I did have a persistent plastic knocking noise coming right below the driver door, when there are bumps on the road. After a few unsuccessful visits to dealer (cannot duplicate the problem), finally after talking to service manager and promise to take this matter to general manager they did some work and found it was a faulty strut. They replaced a strut and that noise was over since then.

I'm with you Annette. I just bought a 2015 LaCrosse this week, $35,000 and I have the same thing. Now I have to drive 75 minutes to the dealership I bought it from to go to the Service Dept. WTH! Have a car a few days and you're off to the service dept?
I was so reluctant to buy an American car for this reason. Nagging, stupid issues. Now the thought of the GM run around has me ready for bear.
Naturally, when you're driving it's hard to isolate exactly where it is coming from. It is very annoying. I refuse to put up with it though. Please let me know how you come out. I have done a search in this forum for "NOISE IN DASH" and there are pages and pages of complaints and questions.

None on my '14. You might find its something in one of the glove boxes or cubbies. I had an annoying rattle once and it turned out to be the visor that wasn't put back in its place. Don't assume the worst just yet. There are probably pages of complaints on this topic on for any vehicle because it's very common and almost always turns out not to be the car itself but something minor ajar.

You can get rattles in any new vehicle no matter who they are made by or where. None of them are perfect.

I agree, every dealership(yes, even imports) has a service shop attached to it full of cars. They're mechanical man made devices with thousands of parts.....

It's an American company but car is made in Korea and Germany so actually it's a global car company not just any American car company.Not any worse or better than other companies

I have a 2015 Encore! Rattles in the dash that moves from the drivers side to passengers side...DRIVES ME CRAZY! Happens going 0-38 mph the again around 50mph...doesn’t matter the type of road...the sometimes I get a noise coming off the highway to city speed that it sounds like a jet engine (already been to the dealer a few times for this and ALWAYS told NOTHING wrong with it)...that noise is NOT right!!! If I hit the brakes fast the jet engine will quiet down but then does come back...it’s like it’s stuck in high gear but again ALWAYS told nothing wrong with it! This car has been to the dealer so much in the last year since we bought it I’m VERY convinced we got a LEMON!!!!
