2011 Lacrosse. 2 FOB's that doesn't unlock the car or start the car. The car is unresponsive to the remotes. I have to place in center console to start. Searching the threads, I have replaced the remote batteries, I have tried reprogramming both remotes to no avail. I also saw that the car battery could effect the FOB. I had the battery tested and replaced (under the battery warranty) and still not responding to the remotes. What could cause 2 remotes to not work? I'm at a loss.

Google: keylessfix

If your remote pads are worn, the buttons won't work properly. For about $12 Keylessfix sells a little pad you slip inside the remote and makes it work again.

I had the same issue when I bought my 2006 LaCrosse last year. Tried new batteries to no avail. The buttons didn't look worn, but it turns out they were worn (inside, where it counts - where the button pushes on the circuit board).

I'm not in any way affiliated with Keylessfix; I was just pleased that something could be fixed so simply and cheaply - and I like innovative solutions to problems... I've never had any problems since I installed their pads.

Note: GM fobs also seem to suffer from breaks in the battery holder inside the fob. This can be easily remedied by taping the battery in place with electrical tape, just to ensure a good connection between the batter holder and the circuit board!

You can buy replacement pads dirty cheap on ebay. Problem with those, is they are overly sensitive, possibly the pad material is to soft and can easily be depressed. So my panic alarm is easily triggered.

Not sure other solutions also leads to same issues.
