I bought a Dorman part from Advance. It lasted 11 months. Any one else have a problem with this brand?

Yes, mine failed in the down position after 14 months. Luckily it broke when I was home and the weather was dry. My local Advance had one in stock and was able to warranty swap same day.
Surprisingly the broken unit was made in Korea.

My front passenger window failed in the winter about 3 years ago. Got a Dorman regulator assembly from an independent auto parts store and haven't had any issues since then.

Does/did your regulator “slam” when hitting the bottom of the travel?

I’ve read that this can contribute to shortened motor life.

For this reason, I stop the “auto down” travel before my window slams down.
