Just wondering if those living in the snowy areas got rust proofing and paint protection for their cars. I backed out of it as it was about 900 bucks for both.

The dealer here at MN tried really hard to push it but I denied it at that time.

My Jeep Grand Cherokee has a little rust at few places and don't want that to happen to my verano. But having said that I did not take care of my Jeep all that much (ie. washing it every time I drove it on salty roads)

I personally think extra rustproofing is a waste of money. And the paint sealant is just a dealer gimmick with an extremely high markup. The Verano corrosion warranty is 6 years, unlimited miles. If your planning on keeping it longer, it MIGHT make sense to consider the rusproofing, but really, the odds of seeing sheet metal perforation (surface rust is not covered) are pretty low. Modem cars don't rust out like they used to.

That was money well saved. Last car I had that rusted was a 1986 Pontiac Sunbird GT. My 2000 GTP has 100k miles, driven a lot of that in Alaska winters, so it has seen lots of abuse. No rust.

Thanks for your comments. This is what I was hoping to hear 😀

I was not aware that Verano has 6 year corrosion warranty. That is awesome.
And I am not surprised that the dealer did not tell me about it.

Those items are BIG profit makers for the dealer. That's why they push so hard for it. And a waste of your money.
