Hi Guys,

Anybody knows what (Shorter length of course) belt might fit for temporary driving WITHOUT A/C Compressor (i.e. when A/C compressor is removed)?
Regal LS 97 3.8L V6.

I need to do some work on A/C Compressor and will really have to drive for about 200 miles till I can put it back or find a replacement (don't have a spare car).
All the other belt related components are in the car.
Doubt a store will allow me to install/try a dozen of belts.
They usually don't even suggest any part unless you tell them make/model/year etc (even if its a fuse).
Thank you!

Are your talking about the AC compressor or supercharger?

It wont work. You need to buy a ac bypass pulley and use the original belt. With out it the belt route geometry cant work. The adapter pulley run about $40 from Dorman and others

Is AC bypass pulley specific to a particular car/brand?
What bypass pulley attaches to?

Do the search for the specific vehicle! The bypass pulley connects to where the compressor was originally mounted.
