So I'm in a bad spot, my car's suspension gave out on me. That or the power steering, I really can't tell. I wanted to bring the car to a shop to have it looked at and potentially have the work done. After having it sit in my lot for 1.5 weeks because it broke down mid-move (yes everything is happening all at once in my life lol) I went to start it and nothing, tried to jump it, nothing still. Went under the car and saw the nut holding the red wire from the battery/alternator to the starter was lose and the nut was nowhere to be seen. I have been searching online for this nut but to no avail. I don't want to have to buy a whole new starter as this one is only a year old (yes its my mistake I didnt tighten the nut enough). Is there anywhere to find this online?

I tried GM Part Giant, ordered what I thought was the right thing but then they cancelled my order saying they could not find the part. If not original is there anywhere to get a substitute?

Thank you all for the help I really appreciate it as I'm having a real tough go of things right now and I just want to get my baby back on the road.

You already have another thread about this, but here's my thought.

Go down to the store where you bought the starter and ask to see another one. It will have the nut on the stud. Take a tape measure or better yet, a dial caliper, and measure not only the thread diameter, but also the pitch as well as the nut's diameter.

Then go to the hardware aisle at your local big box store and buy 1 or more contenders, hoping that one of them will fit just right.

Ideally just ask to see the starter. Then match the hardware to the ones the same store sells. Then send it or if you care enough order a copper/brass one in the same size but you don’t need to

Thank you, I unfortunately got it from an online retailer but I think I figured it out and have another one coming in the mail.
