Almost all the button lights on my steering wheel are blown out, I'm aware its common. I think im gonna replace the entire buttons and housings with new ones I found on ebay. Can the old ones be taken out without taking the steering wheel off?

Yes, VERY CAREFULLY, a right angle or angled pick is best. If you can hook under the bottom of it, they just pop straight out. There is very little slack in the wiring but you can get it unplugged. Replacements just push back in until they are seated. I always snag these at the scrapyard if I see ones that aren’t worn and beat up. I’ve changed a bunch of these without issue. I’ve also found NOS ones on Ebay.

Appreciate the help! Yes I found a bunch of nos ones on ebay. I may grab them.

I wish they made them with led bulbs so they would actually last.

Same here! I think there's a tutorial on the web somewhere. Someone actually did replace with LED's. I don't see the point of replacing with bulbs though.
