I bought this car recently with 58k to bang around NYC as my daily, this way I can have a little fun and not get as crazy with the abundance of morons roaming the streets here driving a newer expensive car. It was a 90+ year old lady who had to stop driving. It runs and rides great but there is one thing that annoys the s$^! out of me. Only when making parking maneuvers (as per the GM tsb) there is a vibration or shudder when turning the wheel mostly to the right which is common with a few GM platforms. The GM (TSB) technical service bulletin says to change the pressure steering inlet & outlet hoses which I had done by a competent shop with new fluid. It is now marginally better but far from gone. Any past GM techs out here? Thanks guys.

Change the fluid again, and use Lucas synthic PS fluid, then also change the drive surptine belt. They get lazy after a few years!

Thank you Hot Z28. I forgot to mention I did change both belts tensioners and pulleys for the accessories and the supercharger because they are 20 years old. I will get the Lucas synthetic power steering fluid, they have good stuff. Do you know why it helps? the pressure hoses do not need to be rerouted a certain way or as long as they were replaced via ACDelco parts they should be good correct?

If the shudder showed up after the line replacement there may be air in the system still. Turning the wheel full lock to lock a couple of times may clear it out, just another option to look at, had the shudder feel after a PS pump replacement and this cleared it up.

Does line replacement is GM's fix
The shutter was a little worse before I change the lines. They are a remedy to fix the shudder via GM. maybe there is still a tiny bit of air in the lines which I'm going to check but I don't think so.

did you ever get that sorted out?
