Hey Guys! Brand new on this forum. I have been around on other forums throughout my years and have a decent amount of experience with cars, obviously, that can always be improved.
Right now I have my 04 GS and it has an overheating problem. It can idle but will idle hot and after enough time will overheat. While driving it'll stay right below the red when driving VERY gentle, but rises under any power load. So it is clearly undrivable.
The radiator failed a pressure test and there were combustion gases in the radiator.
So far I have replaced the following:
Thermostat
Water pump
Heater elbows
Lower intake manifold gasket
After seeing how many others have failed lower intake gaskets I was praying it was that. Causing me to lose coolant and forcing air into the system, but alas it clearly is not the answer.
Am I missing something, perhaps a way to fully bleed the system? The only other answer I can think of is a clogged/damage radiator (No visual damage) or god forbid a head gasket.
Please tell me it's not the head gasket!
Thanks guys
