Last year the temperature sensor failed and caused the large fan to consistently kick on due to computer thinking the temperature is too high. It was replaced under warranty. Now a year later, the sensor is bad again. The high heat warning kicks on at least once a day and turns the AC off. Tonight, the large fan wouldn't turn off. I had to reset the battery to get it off as the sensor has seemed to completely fail. Each time i turned it on, the large fan would immediately come on as its registering the temp too high. The temp gauge goes back up as if it was at 0 degrees. I believe i am out of warranty now, and this is two sensors in two years. Even with the key out of ignition, the fan continued to run. Has anyone else had this problem? It has been very frustrating as happens randomly while driving. Tonight was the worst with the fan not stopping.

Thanks,
Troy

If the dealer replaced the sensor last time you might be able to get them to do it again for free, depends if they will warranty that part [versus GM covering things under your now expired vehicle warranty]. Can't hurt to ask, a happy customer is a returning customer.
