Tires for comfort

2018 Tourx with 68K miles. No real problems except tires. Original Continentals all separated and I replaced them with Goodyear Comfortread in 205/55 size on theory a higher profile tire would ride better here in Savannah with our horrible roads. Not so much. So even though tires are newish, (30K miles) would prefer something with better ride over typical potholes and tar strips. So?

If the roads are extra rough, you could drop an inch from your wheel size. I did that for my winter wheels for that reason.

hey there, also in Savannah Ga - I had a set of Michelin Primacy tire put on when we moved to town in 2021. So far very solid for the local everything. 235/50R18 if I remember correctly. OEM 18" size

Sorry, yes 235/55. Would a generic wheel work or has to be specific for the car?

The genetic wheel has to state in it's application that it fits your car

Did you try lowering the tire pressure 2 lbs less than on the sticker?
